Street Fighter
Street fighter is a 2d side view fighter game that was first released in 1987 by Capcom. In street fighter the player took control of martial artist Ryu, who competed in a worldwide martial arts tournament, spanning five countries and ten opponents. The overall goal is to win the tournament. In street fighter the story was linear as there was only one path the player could take. You can also have a second player who controls Ryus rival Ken.
sprites were used for the characters in Street fighter.
In street fighter there was not a wide range of attacks the player could use. there was only 3 types of kick, punch and special attacks.
Tekken
tekken 5 is also a side view fighter game and was released in 2004 by Namco. in tekken 5 the player took control of jin who enters the king of the iron fist tournament. Eventually Jin makes it to the final and faces his Devil-infused great-grandfather in combat. Ultimately, Jin manages to defeat Jinpachi, who dissolves into dust and disappears, his wish being fulfilled. Jin now takes over the Mishima Zaibatsu.
the overall goal in teeken 5 is to defeat jinpachi in the tournament and take over Mishima Zaibatsu.
In tekken 5 there are not many secrets but there is a secret arcade mini game that can be unlock in the bonus menu. Also tekken 5 uses a faster, more fluid fighting system to make the game more enjoyable.
Polygons were used to created the characters in tekken 5.
